“Reality Is Yours” Returns August 28 in New Orleans: A Katrina 20 Edition Honoring Creativity, Community, and Cultural Resilience NEW ORLEANS, LA — July 29, 2025 — Creativity, community, and conscious connection come alive at “Reality Is Yours: Conscious Creatives Networking + Open Mic”, a monthly gathering for New Orleans artists, culture bearers, entrepreneurs, and visionaries. This month’s special edition takes place Thursday, August 28, 2025, at the intimate and iconic St. Noir Café (1128 St. Roch Ave, New Orleans, LA 70117) — and serves as an official Katrina 20 Commemorative Event. Hosted by cultural catalysts Krewe of Kaeru, Red G, and Akiala I, the evening blends sacred storytelling, soulful performance, and powerful connection — with a focus on honoring 20 years of resilience since Hurricane Katrina. 🎤 Networking Share Circle | 6:30 PM Step into the spotlight and share your work, your vision, or a call for collaboration. Each guest gets a few seconds to introduce themselves. Bring your flyers, cards, zines, or art! 🎶 Open Mic | 7:00–8:00 PM Poets, musicians, storytellers, dancers — the mic is yours. This open stage is a celebration of voice, vibration, and visibility. All levels of experience welcome. This event is donation-based, with all proceeds supporting community creative initiatives.
