Site specific marker that’s able to be easily replicated, shipped and installed at a variety of sites throughout the Mississippi Delta. Markers must include areas/ways of conveying facts about the Great Flood and its impact (i.e. locations of nearby Red Cross Camps, levee crevasses, flood depth in that area, etc.), as well as recognition of the underwriter for that marker. This two-year project to better understand the 1927 Mississippi River Flood and its lasting impacts has strong potential to receive national focus.
