Artspace111 and the Love Texas Art Foundation are pleased to announce an open call for submissions for the 2025 Texas Juried Exhibition, juried by renowned Texas artist Jon Flaming. The total 2025 prize amount is $15,000, with a $10,000 first prize, newly named the Edmund Craig Memorial Award. The Edmund Craig Memorial Award honors the memory and legacy of Kenneth Craig Johnson and Stan Edmund Sewell, who were great supporters of the arts. The exhibition will be open July 26 - August 23, 2025, with an opening reception on Saturday, July 26 from 6-8pm. Visitors may also visit the gallery during regular gallery hours, Tuesday - Friday 11am - 5pm, and Saturday 11am - 2pm. Contemporary 2D and 3D works that follow the requirements detailed in the prospectus are eligible for acceptance, artwork selected by the juror from the eligible submissions will be included in the exhibition at Artspace111 and are eligible for awards. As mentioned above, over $15,000 will be awarded to the best works in show selected by the Juror, and the $10,000 Edmund Craig Memorial Award will include the opportunity to exhibit at Artspace111 in a separate solo or group exhibition in 2025. Awards are supported by the Love Texas Art Foundation. Artists selected for the exhibition will be notified by June 27, 2025 and award winners will be announced at the opening reception event on Saturday, July 26, 2025 by Jon Flaming, the juror. About The Juror Jon Flaming, Artist Jon Flaming (pronounced Fleming) is a multi-disciplinary artist known for his design, illustration, modern interpretations of cowboys and cowgirls, often depicting them in a heroic light. His fine art focuses on small-town Texas and the Southwest, reflecting the idiom of Texas regionalism. Flaming's work brings warm recollections of earlier, simpler roots, while simultaneously magnifying awareness of social change and transformation underway in Texas. Jon’s modern interpretation of the Western art genre has earned him a loyal following of fans and collectors. Stetson, Tecovas, YETI, the John Wayne family and others have collaborated with Jon to promote their brands. Jon’s work resides in the permanent collections of the Amon Carter Museum of Art, Tyler Museum of Art, Museum of the Southwest, San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts and The Grace Museum.
