The Louisiana Percent for Art Program invites professional artists or artist teams to submit qualifications for the creation of a permanent, site-specific exterior installation for the LSU Health Shreveport Center for Medical Education. The envisioned artwork should thematically convey the mission of the facility, centered around the principles of Teach, Heal, and Discover. This commission is open nationally to professional artists 18 and over. Proposals are not required at this time.

The Louisiana Percent for Art Program seeks professional artists or artist teams to design and implement a permanent, exterior site-specific art façade of original design for the Taft Street Parking Garage at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. The installation should have a music theme and portray the University and Lafayette, LA culture. Various media are welcome, including murals, relief sculpture, printed media, light, kinetic elements, etc.

The Louisiana Percent for Art Program seeks artists or artist teams to design and implement an interior site-specific sculptural installation of original design for the Coastal Center at Nicholls State University. The installation should represent the wind-swept trees commonly seen on forested islands and other areas directly affected by continuous Gulf winds.

The Louisiana Percent for Art program is seeking experienced artists or artist teams to submit qualifications to design and implement three thematically related exterior, site-specific sculptures or installations of original design for the Music & Dramatic Arts Building, Band Hall, and Cypress Residential Hall at Louisiana State University (one artist will be chosen to execute all three pieces). The artwork should actively engage students, faculty, and visitors in creative and interactive experiences that emphasize the meaning and value of music.

The Louisiana Division of the Arts in partnership with the Atchafalaya National Heritage Area and Forecast Public Art, is pleased to invite nonprofit arts organizations, nonprofit organizations, public and private schools, school boards, colleges and universities, and local government agencies across Louisiana to participate in Making It Public, a free 5-week virtual training facilitated by Forecast Public Art designed to equip administrators in strengthening local capacity to support, create, and promote public art. Participating organizations will be eligible to receive a $10,000 grant from the Louisiana Division of the Arts to fund artists selected by way of a Call for Public Art in 2022-23. Through Making it Public and funding artists through grants to organizations, the Louisiana Division of the Arts aims to foster a community of practice that is inspiring more vibrant public spaces and public culture through public artmaking across Louisiana.
